Rafflesia of Upper Sungkai

Alerted by our Advanced Party (Mat Ros, Faizi and Zahidin) who stop by on their way to Bubu, we set off to Sungkai on Saturday, 10 March 2007. Hoping to photograph this rafflesia in the new site up stream from Sungkai Orang Ali Village, the original site found by K Fletcher some years back.

Alas, we were dissapointed that the bud was was supposely "open" did not have the courage to greet us.

Any way we have fun looking around. This is the RRMT team that was in Sungkai on Sat.
